Yamaichi sockets (Burn-in/Test) SOP, PLCC, and µ, BGA* packages

Yamaichi Electronics offers clamshell sockets designed with unique floating base and parallel clamp architectures. Developed for fine pitch sockets, the floating base assures proper alignment of leads while securing the device package in place. The parallel clamp increases insertion speed while self-aligning and protecting the leads. All clamshell sockets are mechanically designed for zero insertion force. Yamaichi Electronics open top sockets accommodate automated operations. All open top sockets are designed for auto and one-touch insertion. PLCC and &#181;BGA* package sockets are designed with two contacts, which provide a reliable electro-mechanical interface connection and prevent damage to leads. Yamaichi supplies open top test and burn-in sockets for all package options for Intel's Flash memory products.<BR>

TSOP 1, open-top, ZIF sockets (IC191 Series) are available with protection keys (prevents top from being pushed down in stacked board configuration) and locator pins TSOP 1 clamshell sockets (IC5 Series) are designed with floating bases and are available with mounting flanges.

PLCC, open-top, LIF sockets (IC120 Series) are available with mounting flanges in live bug or dead bug configurations. PLCC clamshell sockets (IC51 Series) are also available.

PSOP, open-top, LIF sockets (IC189 Series) are available with protection keys and locator keys. PSOP and SSOP clamshell sockets (IC51 Series) are available with mounting flanges

Open-top, LIF sockets (NP291 Series), for &#181;BGA packages, have been released to production and samples are available.
